Study Abroad Insurance

Goucher College requires insurance coverage for all students while participating in Goucher organized programs.

Students who have enrolled in programs that are conducted by outside organizations need to thoroughly review the insurance provided by those organizations to make sure they have coverage.

Goucher College Semester Programs

Many Goucher Semester programs already include Emergency Medical Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains insurance.  However, if you are attending a Goucher Semester Program that does not provide this insurance, you will be enrolled in the non medical insurance benefits of the plan provided by the College and billed for this service.
This Plan is designed to cover those benefits not normally found in a general health insurance program, however, it does not include Accident & Sickness medical benefits.  Students are encouraged to review their primary health insurance programs to determine if their primary plans have overseas benefits.  If not, students may enroll for Accident & Sickness benefits though this plan, see below.

The Semester Program Plan automatically includes the following highlights:

  • Emergency Medical Evacuation  100%
  • Repatriation of Remains  100%
  • Emergency Reunion  $12,500 maximum benefit
  • Trip Cancellation  $5,000 maximum benefit
  • Trip Interruption  $5,000 maximum benefit
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment  $15,000 Principal Sum
